A word from Samuel Selvakumar...
The Lord blessed us to be together for almost 24 years and I thank the Lord for
keeping us true and close to each other in spite of all the distractions, deceptions,
and challenges.
In moments like this, all of us, who have gathered here, are consumed with grief
and sorrow but I want to tell you the story?
The Lord brought us together in 1984. Both of us were born and raised in a Christian
family but it was only in 1988 that we experienced the Lord personally. We accepted
the Lord as our personal Savior exactly 20 years ago.
Through all the sickness and the pain, we could have gone either way. We could have
said why God? Or... We could have said there is no God. But we held on together
because of that one hope…and that hope is Jesus.
We can be born and raised in a Christian family but we will not know Jesus, unless
we make Him the Lord of our lives. Christianity is not a religion…Christianity is
a relationship. Christianity is not only for Christians, it is for all mankind.
Christ did not come to live on the earth, and die on the cross so that only Christians
can receive salvation. Salvation is a free gift for all human beings irrespective
of color, caste or religion.
Today, I can say with confidence that my wife is with the Lord. She is not going
to come back to me or my daughters, but we will be together in eternity one day
because of the gift of salvation and the hope of spending eternity with Jesus.
We live in a world without hope. Death is a reality. All of us will have to die
one day. But when we die where will we be? Only Jesus can give you that hope. So,
if you do not know this Lord, receive Him. And if you know the Lord, serve Him and
never, never, never give up.
The public view and knowledge of Kamalini’s sickness is little over a year old,
but my wife and I struggled through this sickness for close to five years. And through
these five years, the Lord prospered us with His blessings and gave us a beautiful
relationship. The past five years through sickness, pain and suffering were the
best years compared to the first eighteen. This is because of Jesus and that hope
that because He lives, we can face tomorrow.
So, I want to encourage you to know Him?the times we are living in are uncertain
and really short. Our chance will pass us by without us knowing the truth.
As a human being and just as I am, Kamalini:...I want you to know I will always
be yours until the day we meet together in eternity. I will always be yours…my dearest
chinchu…till we meet again...Farewell
